I'm Abbandoning the Steam-Workshop |
|
On the 8th of July, I got an Email from Valve. Stating that one of my NSFW
Texturepacks have Been Removed from the Terraria Workshop.

and would be Delelted in 30 Days, Because someone had Repported it and Valve moderator's decided to Remove it.

Which were a surprise to me as I though I had followed the rules by using the Community Content Filter tags for my NSFW Packs
But according to Valve's moderators, no NSFW content is allowed on the some Workshops, despite the Community Contant Filter tags...

What makes this Worse is that the Person whom Reported my NSFW
Texturepack.
Had chosen to view NSFW content on the Workshops, why they could View and Access it and Probably just Reported because they didn't like it...

(I know Futa isn't for everyone, Butt that is why such are optional for us that are into it
)
Information about the Content Tagging Tagging Filters:
In Early 2023 Valve added Community Content Filters were added to all Workshops on Steam

Which includes "Mature Content", "Some Nudity or Sexual Themes", "Frequent Nudity or Sexual Themes" and "Adult Only Content".
"Mature Content": Gives the user a content notification if they try to enter content with this, they can chose to accept or leave.
"Nudity or Sexual Themes": Gives the user a content Warning if they try to enter content with this, they can chose to accept or leave.
"Adult Only Content": Requires the user to have this tag on toogled on, in order View and Access any content with this tag on the workshops.
Due to the function the Community Tags tags provided.
Being able to have my NSFW Avalible for those whom might want it and Hide it from those whom prefer to avoid NSFW Content

So I uploaded my NSFW Packs to the Workshop and used the "Adult Only" Tag on them, in good faith.
Hoping it would stop people from Uploading my NSFW content onto the workshop, as Now they were there Indeed on the Workshop
and for 18 Months it did! and there were No Issues at all!

Till now in July.... Because of Valve moderators....

The Talk with Valve's moderators:
When I Explained the Valve moderators why I had uploaded My NSFW content to the Workshop
Because People keept uploading content onto the workshop, both SFW and NSFW Packs.
(But mostly NSFW Packs as I didn't want such to be Visible to everyone on a PG12 Workshop)
I Told them I had Reported My Content being Plagiarized onto the Workshop 45+ Times!...
and Valve moderators did absolutely nothing about it!...

I Told them I had to contacted and asked Re-logic if they could take downs My Texturepacks which had been Plagiarized onto the Workshop, Which They Did!

(But Valve's moderators Inactions also bothered Re-logic, as they noticed and told me that My Reports had been dismissed by Valve staff...
)
I also told them that I didn't post my NSFW packs on the Workshop, due to there were no way to make them inaccessible to Minors.
Till the Content Filters Were added in Early 2023.

(As that Allowed me to hide it for People which didn't Want nor could due to Parental Control)
However Despite my Reasonings...
There were No Acknoledgement of Their Inactions of hadeling my Reports about my Content being Plagiarized onto the Workshop...

Nor any Appoligy nor Reasurence for that matter, That They would do Better in the Future with my Reports of Plagerism...
By the any of the 4 Valve staff that I talked with...

(The Valve moderators Were a Major part of the Issues I had with Steam-Workshop... and a'lot of Stress I endured...)
This were Their Reasoning of the Removal:
"Adult Only content is not permitted in non "Adult Only" hubs.
Also, mature content in game hubs that are not content from the base game or if the hub does not allow such content, are also not allowed anymore.
The content in question does not fit the hub it was uploaded to, and thus was removed correctly.".
Despite the Community Content Tags that it had: NSFW, which Hid it for Everyone. Whom didn't Toogle on to view and access such content...
But their Reasoning brings into the question; why does the Content Filters even excist then?...

But also this Paragraph were just Tone Deaf to me...:
"Removing content is not something we enjoy doing. It's a difficult trade-off that we have to make in order to keep Steam appropriate for all of our users.
I am sorry that the content had to be removed."
Conclussion:
So due to I've had nothing but issues with Valve's moderator staff since the Launch of the Terraria workshop on 17th March 2021...
Which started with 15 re-Uploads to the Workshop within the first 12 hours...
With Inaction of Moderation and failing to handele Plagerism 45+ Reports..
To now also Taking down my Packs despite Following the Rules in the Steam Guidelines...
So I'm going to Abbandon the Steam-Workshop, as I Had Enough of Valves Incompetent staff!

However I will be doing a Single Compatability update for Terraria 1.4.5
I won't be adding new Sprites aside new Armor/Vanity sets for my Player Sprites Packs.
and No new Packs will be Released on the Workshop either.
Any and All New Content and Updates will only be Released Here on My Website or on the Terraria Forums (with only SFW Packs).
As unlike Valve, Re-Logic have been nothing but Stellar to help me with my headaches and issues with the Steam-Workshop.
So please don't give Re-Logic any headache over this, as they had nothing to do with this.
Those of You whom Refrained from Uploaded my Content to the Workshop Without My Permision for the last 18 Months, Thank You!
